10 / 10ths Motorsports Inaugural event was a history making event.

Unfortunately though for the wrong reason.  Central Indiana experienced severe flooding and received up to 10" of rain in less than 24 hours, including Putnam Park Raceway.  Throughout the entire day, there was frequent and severe lightning and extremely heavy rain the entire morning.   Track conditions revealed the dip in the front straight, turns 1, 3, 4, 8 and 9 completely under water with a small river flowing across the short straight between 4 and 5.  These conditions forced us to cancel the event around 11:30 AM.

I-70 West of the track, I-65 S and parts of I-74 W were all shut down due to high water and/or the roadway collapsing due to erosion.  Many residents in the area suffered severe flooding and damage.

I must say I was extremely disappointed as I had high hopes for our first event but through all that, I still found time to laugh and have a great time with the drivers as we waited out the storm.  A true testament to the type of people involved in this sport.

I have been working with Chris Diasio of Putnam Park and we will offer a substantial refund to all the drivers.  I would like to thank Chris for a great gesture which was not required contractually.  The staff at Putnam on the morning of the event were also extremely helpful in a tough situation and worked with the 10 / 10ths staff in a very professional manner.  Thank You to Chris and the Putnam Park Staff!!!!!
