Kurt Niemeyer appointed to VP of Sales & Marketing

Sparta, KY (June 17, 2008) – Bluegrass Motorsports Club & Road Course is pleased to announce the appointment of Kurt Niemeyer as Vice President of Sales and Marketing.  Kurt comes to us with a wealth of sales, marketing, and sports car racing experience, and will be a winning complement to the Bluegrass team.  Mr. Niemeyer has over twenty years in sales, and the event promotions and media businesses, and is a graduate if Miami University. In addition he also has a winning racing history that spans more than four decades in club, professional and vintage road racing series. 

A prime example of the family aspect of Sports Car Racing has been passed through the Niemeyer generations where, Kurt’s father, Bill was a championship winning SCCA driver from the 1950s through the 1970s and his brother Bill Niemeyer Jr. achieved a national championship Runoffs win at Mid-Ohio.  Kurt has seven series championships and over 60 victories as a driver in SCCA, INEX, NASA and USAC competitions.  He also has vast experience as a race official serving in a multitude of positions for the SCCA and INEX organizations.
